Learn Piano Easy
Hi everyone,
Have you ever watched the accomplished pianist and wished you could play similarly? Most lovers of music have! This is about the time when the thought “how can I learn piano easy” comes to mind.
The problem is most of us don’t have the time to dedicate to learning how to play so professionally. Most musicians spend years learning their craft. That is because most have learned through traditional methods and classes. Some of these are frankly designed with job security in mind for the person giving the lessons.
Why so cynical you might ask? Well, I went through the traditional methods, earned a music education degree from a college and then moved on to become a professional musician. Other than some of the technical aspects I picked up from fellow musicians while I attended the 4 years of institutional music learning I use very little of the majority of the remainder of what I slaved over to master!

There WAS one exception, however. I observed a piano for beginner’s lab course. I was beyond, in my ability, the level of 99% of the other class members so I was able to observe how they reacted to the instruction a little more than would ordinarily be the case.
There were two sections of the class. One had an instructor who was strictly “by the book” in his approach to teaching. He varied NOT! The second instructor was a ‘cool’ young PhD candidate who instinctively understood how to make music interesting and FUN. He believed you COULD learn piano easy and his secret was to make it FUN!
I had friends in both classes. Without fail the ones from Mr. “By the Book (BTB)” complained constantly while the other class seemed to really enjoy the course. Toward the end of the course, upon comparing notes from the two classes, the reason became obvious. While the students of Mr. “BTB” were able to dutifully play a version of Mary’s Little Lamb that had an eerie resemblance to a somber funeral dirge the students from the other class played a version with a “boogie” feel…to include a walking base line that brought smiles to the faces of everyone within earshot. Mary’s Little Boogie Lamb was a homerun with the students while the traditional “lamb” was about as popular as indigestion.
Members of the “boogie lamb” group actually went on to take more music courses, because they BELIEVED is was possible to learn piano easy, while not a single member of the “BTB” group did. Hmmmm, ‘methinks’ I’m on to something was my takeaway. Over the years, as I taught beginners to play, I incorporated the idea of FUN in my lessons.
The results are remarkable. Maybe a psychologist could explain in clinical terms exactly why but my observation was that learning music has much to do with perception. If you have fun while you learn then, amazingly, learning seems easier to master. If you combine fun with a system that prevents you from falling into time wasting exercises of tedium and boredom then you learn quickly and easily because the burnout factor typically associated with in depth study is much less pronounced. So it IS possible to learn piano easy; it just takes the right approach!
I have found that some courses offer a no nonsense approach that provide that powerful combination of fun and ease while others do not. Courses we recommend contain that magic formula for success.
Rocket Piano, Piano for All and Chord Piano Fast warrant a closer look. Depending on the style and depth to which you want to go you will find that either of these 3 will meet your needs and have you playing quickly and more importantly you’ll learn easily because they are FUN.
